Current events in the Parish -
Ash Wednesday - Masses at 9:30 at the school, Noon, 5:30, and 7 at the church. Spanish Communion Service at 8:30 pm. Ashes distributed at all services. Ash Wednesday is a day of abstinence from meat and fasting for those between 18 and 59 inclusive. On a day of fast, one meal may be taken; however ,two smaller meals may be taken to maintain strength. Snacking is not permitted.

ATTENTION LADIES OF THE PARISH - There will be a meeting of the Ladies Auxiliary |
of St. Mary’s (formerly known as the |
Columbiettes) on Thursday, February 16 at |
6:30. Come and join an organization that is |
setup to help our parish members, church, |
and community. We will be selecting our first |
craft and service project on Thursday and |
voting on our new by-laws. So come and enjoy some refreshments and fellowship!! You only have to be a practicing Catholic and at least 18 years old. If you have any |

CONFIRMATION CANDIDATES - Attention all teens being confirmed in the Spring. Please |
mark your calendars for the following dates: Saturday, February |
25th from 9am to 4pm is the Confirmation Retreat at |
Berry College Winshape Center AND Saturday, March 10th |
at 1pm is the Confirmation Mass here at the Church. On the |
10th, teens will meet early for lunch and final preparations at |
11am in the Parish Hall. There will also be a dessert reception |
for teens and their families in the Parish Hall immediately |
following the Confirmation Mass. |

WE HAVE A NEW NAME!! Attention ladies of the parish. The Columbiettes of St. Mary’s have recently dissolved its organization. There were so many continued delays at the state and at the national levels in our attempt to gain a local Columbiettes charter. But don’t fear; we will still be in existence as group but now we will be called The Ladies Auxiliary of St. Mary’s. We will be working harder than ever to make this an organization that will be here to help our church and community. Please come to the next meeting on Feb. 16 at 6:30 and help us make the Ladies Auxiliary of St. Mary’s a great organization. FAITH FORMATION WORKSHOP - Attention Parish Catechists and all other interested adults. There will be a Faith Formation Workshop on Saturday, February 11th in the Parish Hall from 9am until noon. The two topics being presented are “Lectio Divina” and “Making the most of the Catechism”. The workshop is free of charge and a sign up sheet is available in the vestibule.
