Current events in the Parish - updated 3/8/10 Lent in our Parish this week: Friday evening at 6 pm, join us for a soup supper provided by the Knights of Columbus, followed by Stations of the Cross presented by the PSR students at 7pm. Adoration runs from 8am Friday to 8am Saturday.
KNIGHTS of COLUMBUS PRINCESS BALL - The Knights of Columbus will again hold the Princess Ball (Father/Daughter Dance), on Saturday, APRIL 24th from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm at St. Mary’s School. ST. THERESE’S GUILD - The St Therese’s Guild will meet on March 16th at 6:30 pm at the home of Alice Pearson; 85 Winsome Pl. NE. There is a St Patrick’s fun evening planned. All women of the parish are invited to attend. RSVP Alice at 706-291-8229 GOLFING WITH GOD IV - The 4th Annual “Golfing with God” Retreat will be held May 2nd-May 6th at St. Meinrad Abbey, a Benedictine Monastery, in St. Meinrad, Indiana. During this retreat/golf outing, mass will be celebrated daily, three rounds of golf, a Day of Reflection/lecture/discussion will be held and ample time for private reflection in the beautiful St Meinrad Abbey. ST MARY’S SCHOOL NEWS - March will bring much excitement at SMS! First of all, our 4th graders will be participating in our first Independent Schools Social Studies Fair and they are very excited about their projects. Our last Admissions Open House of the year will be held on Sunday afternoon, March 14, from 3-5 PM, and we encourage you to drop by the school that afternoon to see all the great things that Saint Mary’s offers. Our ITBS standardized testing week will be held during the week of March 15, followed by the visit from the SACS and SAIS re-accreditation team on March 21-23.
