I am the current Pastor here at St. Mary's in little Rome. I was born and raised in Marietta to Mark and Carol Porter. They are both from Kansas, so I'm the first southerner in the family. I have two brothers who I love most days and both live here in Georgia. I graduated from Georgia Southern University with a degree in Broadcasting before discerning a call to go to seminary and pray about the priesthood. Seven long years later I was ordained a priest and sent to a parish in Roswell, Georgia near where I grew up before being sent here in the summer of 2023 to pastor this parish and school. It's a wonderful parish and I'm very grateful that God has sent me here.




Soy el actual párroco aquí en St. Mary 's en pequeño Roma. Nací y crecí en Marietta, hijo de Mark y Carol Porter. Ambos son de Kansas, así que soy el primer sureño de la familia. Tengo dos hermanos a los que amo la mayoría de los días y ambos viven aquí en Georgia. Me gradué de la Universidad del Sur de Georgia con un título en Radiodifusión antes de discernir un llamado para ir al seminario y orar por el sacerdocio. Siete largos años después, fui ordenado sacerdote y enviado a una parroquia en Roswell, Georgia, cerca de donde crecí, antes de ser enviado aquí en el verano de 2023 para pastorear esta parroquia y escuela. Es una parroquia maravillosa y estoy muy agradecido de que Dios me haya enviado aquí.
